Tokyo Skytree which is the world’s tallest broadcasting tower, and has become an icon of the Tokyo skyline immediately upon completion. However, it is not just its imposing height and striking architecture that has made it famous. The lighting design of the structure uses state of the art LED lighting equipment capable of projecting a strong beam of light 100 meters in length. Taking a cue from Japanese culture, these LEDs change their pattern to express different traditional concepts in Japanese art: `Iki’ — the concept of a sprightliness or `Miyabr the concept of grand aestheticism.
